Mother has given us birth, but motherland has bestowed us with unique identity, made us responsible citizens of the soil and transformed us as distinctive personality...
Soon after spending our beautiful childhood and schooling days, we might have migrated to different towns, cities, states, countries, etc. and made our own mark as employees or entrepreneurs and earned prominence in the society. But our roots are so deep in Yazali within our sweet memories, childhood friendships and unforgettable moments of happiness.
Though Yazali is economically backward, it has rich cultural history. Before the Revenue Mandal System was introduced, Yazali got fame as Firqa Center in Bapatla Taluq of Guntur District. It accomplished more name and fame among Education and Culture domains compared to other economically developed villages of the district.
Some of our villagers went all the way to US and other countries and settled there. We have many educationalists, prominent music exponents, ophthalmology doctors, poets, freedom fighters, Ayurvedic doctors, etc. from our village who gained reputation and distinction in their chosen fields.
Even when others don't know about dramatics, many Drama and Play associations gave many public performances and enthralled audience with their social and mythological plays. Stage artists used to consider giving performance in Yazali as an achievement. We had many prominent Drama artists like Smt. Sharada, Shailaja, Sabha Ranjani who played memorable roles in Yazali dramas.
Our Yazali village was also politically active with stalwart leaders like Shri. Kasu Brahmananda Reddy, Shri. V.B. Raju, Shri. Puchchapalli Sundaraiah visited it several times. Spiritual and Devotional consciousness among villagers is more in Yazali. Every year, we witness Ramakoti Festivals, Shiva Kalyana Utsav, Village Godess Putlamma Jatara, Rama Bhajana, Saibaba Bhajana, etc.
Though the economical backward, villagers of Yazali have been continuing to give utmost priority to education. Earlier, they preferred to admit their children in schools at Chandolu and Appikatla villages. The school established in 1961 has changed this situation and has been helping many students to accomplish greater progress in their lives.
Since majority of literates migrated to other cities, towns and countries and settled there, villagers now lack focus and direction to get developed on the path of progress..
Yazali - Naa Janma Bhoomi aims to transform Yazali village with
comprehensive development for people to access better
infrastructure facilities for their education, healthcare,
empowerment, livelihoods, etc. At Yazali - Naa Janma Bhoomi, we
dream to become a model village for wholesome progress not only in
this region but also across India.
